Frequently Asked Questions |
| What is Uddermint? |
Uddermint is an all natural liniment with the active ingredient, pure Japanese peppermint oil. The product is manufactured in Europe and has been used successfully by dairy producers for many years. Since Uddermint contains no antibiotics, there is no milk and meat residue concern and milk does not need to be discarded. |
| How does Uddermint work? |
Uddermint is used as an aid to maintain udder health by stimulating/activating the cow's own self defense mechanism and thereby helping to soothe and clear. Dairy producers across the country testify that Uddermint has been effective in bringing down swelling and promotes softening while soothing infected udders. Uddermint is popular for use on recently fresh cows and can be used with or without antibiotic treatment. |
| How do I apply Uddermint? |
Massage about 10cc (size of quarter) of the Uddermint cream into the area where required for 30-60 seconds. Apply 2-3 times per day for 2-3 days. First sign of results can be seen after 1-2 applications. Uddermint is not intended for use on teat ends or open wounds. If concerned about open wounds on your hands, the use of nitrile gloves is recommended. |
| Are there other applications for Uddermint? |
Uddermint is not species specific and has been found effective for use with many species to aid in the reduction of inflammation. Uddermint can also be rubbed into hocks and other joints. |
